The Polars for the VOR may need tweaking. I have just auto changed up to a Heavy Gen at 18.5 knots of wind. The current polars show this should happen at 18.9 knots.

This is because the speed on the game interface is not shown properly (the actual speed may be +/- 0.5), but there is nothing we can do about this externally unfortunately...

They need to be rewritten. The current data uses a table with static definition of best sail with 1 km/h resolution, so the actual data points are 18.36 and 18.9

I think I had a logic which returns the closes data point. That would cause the switchover point to be at 18.63, but I have to check again.

VR may have made an alteration to the sail change penalty.
I have just gone up pass 18.5 knots and the sail changed to Heavy Gen. But the penalty did not kick in until the wind was 18.6, 10 minutes later. (all on the Dashboard).

Same thing here.

The sail indicated after vT is calculated by the extension, not indicated by the server. There is some overlap, so the sail change happens a bit later than the exact equality point.
