this morning the DTL dropped from 33.95 to 167.74 NM in two minutes (1012 UTC). That looks really strange. Is that because one of the players came out of stealth mode?

Earlier on my position dropped from 121st to 797 whilst DTL remained the same. I am puzzled.

Can anybody help me understand this?

This particular gate is pretty weird indeed. The 30th boat is 50 miles behind the leader or so.

But it makes sense. White line passes somehow East, so the distance from the supposed gate is more than distance from the Papuan coast.

KLM may not pass any gate until the finish line, depending on the definition of the gates.
